General Rules and Terms

Welcome to Godsibb. Here we celebrate our favorite works in the Xenoverse, a collective of works produced by Tetsuya Takahashi and Soraya Saga. The following is a list of rules the staff have agreed upon to be adhered to while navigating our forum:

Do Not Spam

Do not send unsolicited messages to other users or use Godsibb as a platform to advertise goods or services. If you are an artist or streamer trying to promote your stuff, Xeno related works may be promoted in the designated Creative Works and Fan Projects portion of the site. Repeatedly posting to disrupt users or to artificially create traffic for your product site will also be looked down upon. Be a Xeno fan here, not a salesperson.

Do Not Post Material that is Not Safe For Work (NSFW)

Godsibb is host to many different people with many different circumstances, however for the time being we ask that you do not post NSFW content. Xenogears, Xenosaga as well as Xenoblade are all rated T for Teen by the ESRB and we ask that you keep this age group in mind while posting.

NSFW content is generally considered content which would not be acceptable in a professional environment. NSFW content can be defined but is not limited to images which contain nudity or sexually suggestive content, news photos or videos which may contain graphic or disturbing images as well as the use of hyper excessive language.

We also ask that you do not post anything depicting the mutilation, torture, or abuse of human beings, animals, or their remains.

No Illegal Activities

Do not use our platform to engage in activities such as doxxing, phishing or fraud. Do not engage in activities which could potentially bring harm to a minor. Do not attempt to buy or sell illegal goods. Engagement in these activities will lead to the immediate termination of your account.

Do Not Harass Others

Do not engage in behavior for which the sole purpose is to bring distress to others.

This includes but is not limited to the following:

Doxxing

Sharing other people's personal information such as real names, phone numbers, email addresses, etc is known as doxxing. Doxxing is a dangerous and malicious exposure of privacy that can lead to putting the target at risk for physical harm as well as psychological damage. Doxxing can have permanent real-world consequences, including serious legal implications as well, so it will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

Hate Speech

Hate Speech is language used to deride marginalized groups, and is usually used in tandem with vulgar slurs, personal attacks based on gender, race, or sexual orientation. Hate speech will not be tolerated. Godsibb is home to a diverse group of people and we ask that you respect their ways of life even if you disagree with their opinion. (As long as that opinion is on the scale of having different characters and not whether the person next to you has a right to live).

Stalking

Do not use our forums to stalk other users. Do not solicit others for pictures of themselves, repeated specific favors or personal information they are unwilling to give. If you as a user feel as if you are being stalked by another user, please let someone on staff know, because this behavior will not be tolerated.

Self-Harm or Suicide Baiting

Do not engage in activities which actively urge users to cause harm to themselves and others. This can be psychologically damaging to users who are struggling with difficult situations. As a community Godsibb believes in helping users through whatever they may be going through with awareness, support and recovery, not negative reinforcement.

Trolling

Don’t post things with the sole intent of making people mad. If you are angry with another member or the staff, please speak in private. Extreme cases of bad faith behavior are considered bannable offenses.

Witch Hunts

At Godsibb we don't expect everyone to agree all of the time, that's basically impossible for us to do as humans. We do however ask that you refrain from personal attacks or harassment if you disagree with someone. Joining or leading "witch hunts" against other users is not allowed. If you disagree with someone, try to solve it through discussion instead of instigating an attack on the person behind their back.

Please Avoid Fandom Bashing

Godsibb is home to all fans of all works by Tetsuya Takahashi and Soraya Saga. We do not expect you to love or even like every game in equal measure, but it is not permitted to attack or belittle individuals or groups for enjoying a game or being in a specific fandom. Remember to try and disagree through discussion rather than attacking the individual. Rule of thumb: If you do not enjoy one of the games, do not post in sections of the forums dedicated to peoples’ enjoyment of said game. You’re not better than the next person for not liking a game – cynicism and pessimism don’t make you cool.

Be a Decent Human

At Godsibb, we wish to provide a platform for open discussion on many different topics and will be home to people with many different opinions and ways of life. Remember that even if you feel like it is your right to spew garbage over the internet, Godsibb reserves every right to deplatform that garbage.

Regarding Rules Violations

Users found violating one or more of these rules are subject to punishment by Godsibb Staff. Punishments include but are not limited to temporary or permanent bans as well as partial or complete loss of functionality of the site. Please don't violate these rules. We want to try and make it a place for as many people as we can. Violating the rules makes it very hard for us to do that and in general makes it a not very fun environment for anyone. We don’t want to spend more time policing ourselves than we do on creating fun and engaging content and conversation.

Small question: is it all right to discuss slash or alternate takes on canon, or link to/discuss fanworks that have male/male or female/female relationships as long as they are not any more explicit than canon? Note that I am most definitely NOT asking for permission to post explicit material of any sort (e.g. nudity, X-rated language etc because I have my own ethical and moral convictions against posting that openly and publicly now, I deleted/orphaned anything I wrote of that nature and my fics now always stop at the bedroom door so to speak) but would it violate the NSFW rule to say post a fic where the pairing was Bart/Billy or Citan/Fei but that wasn't more explicit than say the canon Fei/Elly scene?

If it is against the rules I understand and will say nothing about it because I get that people do often find non-hetero content distasteful (and most prefer to interpret the canon as 100 percent het) and would not post anything of that nature - I just don't want to get smacked by the rulebook for (for example) saying the "light nap" scene is Citan and Fei doing it (and not going into detail as to how or why or whatever, just that that's my view of it), posting a fic that's pining/overthinking but no sex or where everything fades to black, or that in my personal opinion Sigurd is gay (not, say, describing his piercings in detail or anything like that! I get that's gross to most normal human beings and not cool for work, etc)

One more edit: OF COURSE I would say that any commentary suggesting anything other than overt, documentable canon relationships be warned for and spoilered so no one could possibly find content say discussing possible LGBTQ subtext or a fic where Fei was with anyone other than Elly without 1000 percent knowing they wanted to see it/engage with it/have that concept in their minds.

First of all, welcome to the forum! On the topic of LGBTQ+ content, Godsibb is an ally of the LGBTQ+ community and you are definitely allowed to use the forum to discuss content of this nature. My only real ask is that any fanfiction be kept to the Creative Works section, and that while posting on the rest of the forum to be mindful that others may have a different point of view when it comes to the canon of any particular game. We would like discussion to be as free and open as possible, but it's also important to understand that everyone has different boundaries and limitations.
