Note on the under 18 thing: That means no shipping WHILE the character is a minor. If you envision a character as adult I extend good faith there - e.g. if you say you ship Billy with someone I'll assume it's post-game when enough time has passed for him to be at least 18 (as the game itself spans two years, arguably).

To show said good faith (especially with the ones who aren't at least 18 by the end of the game like Maria - you are requested to explain how you see them as adults/how in your view they got to adulthood.)

Also if your ship has to have something being handled carefully in writing to make it OK or is troubling even if both are adults (e.g. it is one that's only okay set at a certain time, it has problematic elements even if it's between adults), PLEASE spoiler tag and hide it so the mere idea doesn't trigger anyone whose brain instantly jumps to the worst possible imagery. Like so: Citan/Fei or Miang/Ramsus

KEEP IT SFW. "I like Fei/Elly" or "Fei and Elly make me smile" is good, but please don't get descriptive or explicit about either your ship or your bodily reaction to it. Offenders will be bonked and sent to horny jail because this is not an NSFW board and there are minors here.

So my ships:

My OTP: Citan/Fei system (except for the Coward, for obvious reasons, he's a kid, he doesn't get involved). I do have very specific requirements for it - I can't stand most of the art I see for it that is really tropey and has Fei looking underaged. I also prefer to think any work with the theme, even if this story isn't explained - and I prefer to explain it if I can - is not Citan abusing Fei or being a creep on him when they first meet, but that it's platonic friendship or Fei has a crush but Citan is oblivious until he's at least 18, preferably older, and anything between them only becomes romantic when Fei is old enough to consent to some meaningful degree. And yes, I am aware of how the plot and how it plays out could lead to consent issues, but I tend to apply the framing that their love/trust for each other can overcome that to make consent valid since it's a fictional world - and that of course, IRL, a relationship with that many secrets up to Disc 2 would be bad and not one anyone should have.

That said, I love the little bits of subtext they have, that despite the things that happen between them they still have this deep love and trust toward each other, and Id effectively confesses love for him, will hold back for his sake, etc etc - so I see it as almost even more stable and one that could hold together even more than Fei/Elly because Fei has to come up to shove Id back to protect Elly - on the other hand, Id LIKES Citan (and says so, in text - which is that "love confession" because Id hates everyone and everything, for Id to "like" someone is the equivalent of a normal character going all hearts and flowers and blushface). Also, the part where Bart is shocked to see Yui... to me that scene comes off as "WHAT I THOUGHT FEI WAS YOUR WIFE"

Sigurd/Ramsus: Especially after reading Liquid Sky, just... something makes me love the idea of them as a couple after the game, when they can talk through their feelings together and begin to understand each other... Sigurd being there for Ramsus and Ramsus there for him as they both rebuild and recover together. I do get the racial allegories make it somewhat problematic (what with Sigurd being former chattel/pet) but I don't think Ramsus truly saw him as such, and is, especially post-game after the fall of Solaris and after coming to terms with his own actions, beyond willing to Do The Work to reach out to him...

Bart/Billy: Probably my least problematic ship (I only ship it with 18+ year old Billy well after the game). My kind-of theory on it is Margie and Bart just doesn't work out for its own reasons, both leave for finding their true happiness since Aveh/the Fatima Dynasty is gone for good anyway.... and Bart ends up adventuring together with Billy because of course they would. And their personalities just go together so well, and Bart is just so protective and caring for Billy because of what he's been through and...

Margie/Elly: I also ship this one well after Margie is 18+, and my theory for it is based in how their personalities also go well together, from their being so much like the incarnations of Jackie and Sophia, and admittedly out of a bit of spite sisterhood if that makes sense - as in after having put up with Bart's and Fei's nonsense, they both understand each other very well and want no more of either (or men in general) and do want each other.
