TX's translated stories

emm, do we still have a chance to write something like a family drama in chapter 2?

"Nephy, it's really dangerous for you to come now, or you still..." Grimoire replied, hearing his daughter clamoring for a visit to his lab.
"No, I just want to come and see. If I buy something new, you have to ask me to show it to you. You got something new and it's been so long, why can't I come?" She begged her father for a strange reason, while pulling her mother and saying, "Mom, don't you think, I just want to go to my father's place to see, okay?"
"Grimoire, can you show her if it's safe?" Namiki asked Grimoire
"Yes, yes, but Namiki, will you follow her? I'm afraid she will do something very outrageous"
"Okay, Mom must want to come and see what you're up to!" Nephilim said excitedly before Namiki could answer.
"Okay, yes, but Nephy, don't do anything weird!"
"How come? Do you see me like that???"

After arriving at the laboratory, Nephilim did not listen to her father's explanation, but ran to Kelisi's side when her parents were not paying attention.
"Uncle Kelisi, long time no see."
"Hello Miss.Verum"
"What are you doing now? I want to know where Zohar is? I want to see Daddy's new toy!"
"Zohar is in there, and I won't tell you how to get there, lest you mess around again. It's dangerous!"
"No, please tell me, you see, I'm so good, what can I do?"
"No, don't even think about it," Kelisi said firmly, then turned around and ignored Nephilim.
"You're so annoying to bully kids and ignore you." Seeing that Kelisi didn't respond, Nephilim ran away.
While running past a piece of glass, she suddenly noticed something and leaned over it and watched, carefully observing its golden exterior and stripes and emerald green eye-like center. Looking at it, Nephilim actually felt a very intimate feeling. . .

As you can see, I haven't finished translating. My illness is not as severe as it was the other day (where I felt like I was about to die). But I think the current physical and mental conditions can only support it here, and if I translate it further, there will only be a body lying on the keyboard tomorrow. So sorry, I split the story into two translations

Well, when you was ill, you translated a lot less. I think you cut a part of what I wrote, and it feels like something is missing.
Also, do you like this look of Neph? I wonder if she is a lot different from the original image. I feel that she is very serious, but what I wrote seems to be naughty.

"Dad, I want to go in" Nephilim exclaimed excitedly as Grimoire approached.
"How is that possible?" Namiki said in surprise.
"How is that impossible?" Grimoire asked, seemingly seeing the eyes Nephilim had just looked at Zohar.
"Grimoire Verum you're crazy", you let a 9-year-old in and do this kind of stuff.
"So I asked you why it's impossible, Nephy likes it, just let her go, I will protect her, and we have corresponding protective measures, don't we?" Grimoire was about to take Nephilim's hand and go to the isolation room.
"Okay, then let's go." Seeing that he could no longer persuade the father and daughter, Namiki chose to compromise: "Then I'll go first, I'm not interested in chasing it with you"
Seeing Namiki walk out of the room, Grimoire took Nephilim into the isolation room and put on the isolation suit.
Nephilim felt uncomfortable that his skirt and long hair were being pressed by the isolation gown, so he asked Grimoire: "Dad, what will happen if I go in without the isolation gown, it's very uncomfortable to wear"
"May make you never realize what is "uncomfortable"
"Huh? Huh? Well, I got it"

After entering, Nephilim was completely shocked by the scene in front of him, the golden cross standing in the sky, and the green eyes in the middle.
She felt that eye as an attraction, drawing her to that center, that verdant, jewel-like structure that fascinated her. She gradually walked towards Zohar, past the cordon
"Nephy, Nephy" Seeing Nephilim getting closer, Grimoire worried: "Nephilim stop, danger"
But seeing that Nephilim didn't stop at all, Grimoire ran up to her and hugged her.
"Ah, Dad," Nephilim finally reacted, looking at her dad.
"Nephy, it was really dangerous just now!" Grimoire said as he walked back with Nephilim
"wuuu, I don't know, I just realized that I've come here, wuu, I'm sorry dad"
"It's alright, it's alright, you're fine!"
"Dad~"

On the other side, William's office.
"Yeshua, you really are here again" William said without looking back
"Yes, I still want to join your project"
"hmm, which one?"
"I want to observe Zohar"
"Yes, but you must protect my researcher"
"You mean Grimoire last time?"
"Yes, but you have to keep an eye on their family at all times!"
"Uh..."
"Then I'll assume you agree?"
"No, let me think about it for a few more days"

"Dad, the day after tomorrow is my mother's birthday. Do you think that pendant looks good? I want to give it to my mother," Nephilim said, pointing to a pendant of a golden cross.
"Ok, you really care about your mom haha"
"Then, let's go buy it! Will I give it to my mother on her birthday later? You must come too!"
"Okay, okay, I will!"

Ah, it's almost the last chapter, I think I can end Vol.1 during the National Day holiday

"Mom, it's your birthday today!" Seeing his mother returning home, Nephilim jumped off the swing, said to Namiki happily, and took out the pendant he bought with his father.
"Thank you Nephy" it's beautiful" Namiki happily said to Nephilim after wearing it and observed it carefully.
"As long as you like it, my dad and I have chosen for a long time!"
"Wuu, thank you Nephy," Namiki said, hugging Nephilim tightly.

In the evening, Grimoire returns home and brings back the cake for Namiki.
And Namiki made dinner for the family.
Nephilim also laid out the decorations.
At 9:00 p.m., Nephilim and her father sent birthday wishes to Namiki in unison.
"Thank you! Namiki blows out the candles as she speaks"
"Mom, what did you wish for?" Nephilim asked suspiciously.
"you guess?"
"I'm sure I want to study hard again"
"Nephy, do you know why people don't like listening to you? Because what you say is always so different from what people want you to say"
"Hate, I'm not guessing, and I don't want to know." Nephilim turned his head away and snorted
"Okay, I just want our family to live well"
"Nice wish, darling," Grimoire said after hearing that.
"But, Mom, I think we can also make the wish that "Dad won't have to go to work again and will be with us all the time" isn't that a wish?"
"I remember I just said a reason why people don't like listening to you, now you find out, Nephilim?" Namiki said, patting her daughter's head.
"Errr"
Just when Nephilim wanted to refute, there was a knock on the door.
"Who is it?", Grimoire asked angrily: "I'm here to disturb us at this time"
Off topic:
Emmm, I don't want to end Vol.1 so soon, but it seems like the next chapter is the last chapter. . . Sorry for taking so long

Grimoire opened the door, "It's you!" Grimoire exclaimed when he saw Lucas standing outside the door, "How did you know about this place?"
"Come in first and then talk about it?" I don't want to stand outside all the time!
"Then you can go back to where you came from, can't you?"
"Grimoire, who is it?"
"Go away, how long are you going to be here?" Suddenly, Grimoire saw Lucas pull out a pistol and press it against his stomach.
"Can we still talk properly? Doctor Grimoire"
"Namiki, take Nephy upstairs first, hurry up!"
"Dad, what are you doing? Why..."
"Nephy, hurry up!"
"Okay, Nephy, can I go up with you first?"
Seeing that his father was angry and his mother was anxious, Nephilim chose to go upstairs.

"I don't think we have anything to say." Lucas said as he picked up his fork and ate the leftover cake from Nephilim. "Oh, did you hang that picture on the wall?" Lucas said, and shot the picture. Nephilim inside.
"Ah—" there was an exclamation from upstairs, followed by Namiki's voice comforting Nephilim
"What are you doing?" Grimoire asked angrily
"One question" Lucas put his gun hand under the table: "Would you like to stop at all?"
"You know the problem is only possible—ah" Lucas slammed into Grimoire's chair, knocking him over.
"I said it won't hurt you, but" he said, running upstairs
Namiki stands up and prepares to leave Nephilim
"Then, Nephilim, Go------"
Bang, the door was knocked open
Bang, another sound, Namiki screamed in an instant, and the clothes on her chest were also red with blood. Another shot pierced Namiki's neck, and she fell on Nphilim's body, the cross necklace on her chest. It also fell on Nephilim's chest.
Seeing that Namiki had been killed, Lucas jumped out of the window and ran away
The blood trickled out, staining Nephilim's quilts and pajamas red. Namiki reached out and stroked Neph's hair, leaving a few streaks of crimson blood in her hair. Hope to comfort her daughter at the end of her life. Neph sees this scene and just hugs her mother hard, crying and shouting "Mom". And put her hands on Namiki's wound, hoping to save her mother. Due to the injury to her throat, Namiki can't say anything. She just tried her best to take a last look at her beloved, hoping to make her receive the warmth, protection, and love that she finally passed on to her in this world. And the unfinished "Good night"
When Grimoire came into the room, Neph just let out a little cry and Namiki took his last breath. When she died, she still acted as if trying to protect and comfort Neph. Blood stained the two people on the bed and the whole bed, and flowed down the side of the sheets. And the cross necklace that was just given to Namiki, at this time, also fell on the mouth that Neph could close before he fainted from crying.

"Mom, Wuu, Mom"
The rain in the sky was getting heavier and heavier, and the rain wet Nephilim's skirt, and mixed with her tears, which flowed down her swollen eyes and dripped into her open, crying mouth. And Namiki's coffin was also covered by shovel after shovel of dirt
"Nephy, go back first, it's raining heavily, will I take you to see mom tomorrow?" Grimoire said while comforting Nephilim.
"Dad... just wait a little longer, please, please, after today is over, I will, I will never see my mother again... Dad, I'm really begging you, begging you Oh!" Nephilim cried even louder, crying out to her dad.
"Certainly Nephy, I'm just afraid you catch a cold..." Grimoire said, stroking his crying daughter, "Really, really, of course, actually I want to spend more time with her too."
"Mum, Wuuu" Nephilim lay down on the soil of Namiki's coffin, clutching the exposed part of the coffin with both hands, the muddy water smearing her long white dress and part of her drooping ginger hair.
"Nephy, you..." Grimoire tried to pick up her daughter, but Nephilim was using a lot of strength: "Let's go, okay?"
"Don't, it's the last minute of you!" Nephilim yelled and shook off his father's hand with one arm, and a lot of the muddy water on his arm was thrown onto her father.
"Hey, Nephilim..." Grimoire fought back his anger and walked over to her daughter again, stroking her hair gently, and trying to pat the dirty water away.
"Mom, mom, Wuuu" Nephlim knew that her mom would never come out to hug and kiss her again, but she really didn't know what to do in the future or what life would be like without her.

The simplest thing to write is that I am still in the recovery/treatment period of COVID-19 and I hope I can get better soon, but it seems that there is only so much to write today. . . This is the beginning of Vol.2, sorry I may have written a not so good beginning

I noticed that I made some mistakes with personal pronouns. . . Will pay attention to the translation later!

This scene was lovely and heartbreaking. 💔 I'm anxious to see what the future holds for Nephilim and Grimoire, too.

The translation makes sense to me! I didn't notice any mistakes with the pronouns in this case, but usually the meaning is clear from the context even if there is a slight mistake. Also, writing brush, I hope you can get some rest and feel better soon! Take care!

Thanks! I just want to make my translation more "accurate". But well, I still make pronoun mistakes with mixed male and female characters. . .

It was 5pm when Grimoire got home.

Along the way, Nephilim still cried, even more so than the previous days. And Grimoire just hugged her, comforted her , and wiped Nephilim's tears and mud with a towel, but to no avail. Nephilim's dress, body, and hair were all muddy.

"Nephy, take a shower and take a rest, shall we go to dinner?" Grimoire asked after entering the house.

"Dad... can you..." Nephilim choked.

"what?"

"It's nothing, it's just... forget it"

"Then go take a shower first, and I'll get your skirt ready to put on your bed."

In the bathroom, Nephilim undressed, but didn't rinse herself right away. She hugged the dress she just took off and said to herself, "This is the last thing my mother left for me... Will my mother really become like these, and become mud?" She thought about it, She hugged the clothes tightly, pressed it to her face, and cried so loudly that Grimoire, who was preparing clothes outside, also heard the cry, knocked on the door and asked, "Nephy, what's the matter? You? Haven't started taking a shower yet? Do you want me to come in and help you?"

Nephilim stopped crying for a moment and called out to her father: "Leave me alone, leave me alone!"

After a while, she slowly got up, entered the shower room, turned on the faucet, and her tears flowed down with the water, rinsing her muddy body and hair.

After coming out, Nephilim dried herself, but she felt like she didn't have the strength to pick up the hairdryer to dry her hair. She stumbled to the edge of the bed, even leaning against the wall to keep her balance.

She walked to the bed and saw the pink dress on the bed, but she didn't want to put it on immediately, she just wanted to lie down on the bed and have a good rest.

She lay down on the bed, pulled the quilt around her neck, and even covered half of her head with the quilt. Her pillow was wet from undried hair, which made her feel bad. So she turned her head to one side, and then, she noticed something on the bedside table, she reached out and took it.

"This?...I gave it to mom? Mom put it here?" she thought as she put it around her neck, the cross hanging down on her chest, the sharp corners scratching her chest A little uncomfortable: "Maybe I should have put on a dress and put it on. No, it fell off Mommy's neck that day, the day Mommy died, and that's because, because, Wuu, Mommy"

Nephilim remembered the reason, and she couldn't help it, and began to cry again, but this time only softly because she really didn't have any strength. She pulled the quilt again to cover half of her head. She buried her head sideways in the pillow, and her tears mixed with the water in the pillow.

"Mom... Mom, are you really never coming back? Mom..."

Nephilim once again felt an endless sense of loneliness and helplessness. She felt more and more sleepy, more and more uncomfortable.

"If I die like this, will I be able to see my mother? Will I be able to dream in my mother's arms again?" Then, he fell asleep dazedly.

When Grimoire came to Nephilim's room, he saw his sleeping daughter, and Nephilim's hands under the quilt seemed to be holding something, just like when her mother was holding Nephilim when she was a child, Nephilim put her arms around Namiki's back and Same as the belly.

Well, in the second chapter, I rushed to translate it myself, and I felt that there was no problem with pronouns.
Well, I might need to do a Vol.1 collation and put it on the first page in the form of an AO3 link?

"You see, this is the result of your hesitation at that time." After feeling the chaos, William said to him: "If you had decided to protect their family decisively, then such a thing would not have happened, right Yeshua."
"How is it possible, I didn't hesitate at the time."
"Then pretend you have no hesitation." William turned his head: "If you were asked to go now, would you go? You have to know that although you can no longer protect her mother, you can still protect her."
Chaos sat down next to William, looked out of the window, and said, "I can do this." He then turned his head and looked directly at William: "But I still have a problem: obviously it's something in your company, Why don't you solve it yourself? With such a small organization, you should be able to solve it very easily?"
"Hahaha, Yeshua" William stroked Chaos's white hair with his hands, "If so, how boring it is."
"The person who was still feeling sorry for her mother's death just now suddenly became like this. Also, don't touch it anymore, okay?" Chaos made a dissatisfied voice while pushing William's hand away.

The other half, Grimoire sat on the couch.
"Namiki is dead, she will never come back..." He also began to have the same helpless feeling as Nephilim
"Nephilim lost her mother and no one to take care of her"
"Maybe I should really stop most of that research?"
"But I've paid so much for it, so I just give up?"
"No, the only purpose of those people killing her is to stop me!"
"Nephilim can go to the laboratory with me, maybe she will be safer there? No, the address of the laboratory has been known, maybe I need to report it!"
He goes out, hails a car, and takes him to Vector's lab.

At 7:00 pm, Nephilim woke up, dressed and went downstairs, and was surprised to find that her father had disappeared.
"Where did he go again?"
She searched the house but couldn't find Grimoire
"Uhhhhh", she yelled angrily: "How can you do this? Your mother is dead and you still want to work!"
She lay down on the sofa and couldn't help crying again

At 10:00 in the evening, when Grimoire came home, he saw Nephilim sitting on the sofa reading a book. She was pale, covering her belly with one hand and flipping through a book with the other. When she saw her father, she yelled at Grimoire again. Shouting: "You want to starve me to death, don't you?! Mom is dead, and you don't want to care about me, so I'll just die here! Wuuu."
"I'm sorry Nephy, I..."
"Hateful! It ends up like this every time!" Nephilim went upstairs angrily, and then slammed the door of her room.

off topic:
Well, it still feels a little far-fetched in the plot, what do you think? Anyway, I think it's forcing chaos into Grimoire's house, but then again, Grimoire has lived a life of failure, "killing" his daughter for some strange reason, and then doing more harmful things because he wants to resurrect Nephlim big act...

This is really good! I think it makes sense that chaos would get involved here. In canon, he seems to intervene whenever the fate of the universe crosses paths with an individual person's struggles. I also really like how you portrayed Grimoire and Nephilim dealing with their grief in their own ways. Grimoire definitely seems like a tragic figure who's trying to make the right choices (he reminds me a little of Joachim Mizrahi sometimes, as a devoted father who would do anything for his family, but loses sight of the impact his actions have on the world and other people). It's especially heartbreaking knowing what he does later on in A Missing Year, in the hope of seeing Nephilim again.

"Hello, Mr. William, Who are you?" Grimoire looked at the white-haired teenager next to his boss with great confusion.
"You can just call him chaos."
"Hello, chaos," Grimoire thought as he pulled out a chair, "what a strange name."
"There's nothing strange about it, is there? "Chaos said as he sat down: "Isn't it normal for everyone to have their own name? "
"How do you know? " Grimoire asked, very surprised.
"Well, back to the topic, Grimoire, chaos in the middle of a long time to come to be your assistant, as well as, Nephilim's good friend"
"How is that possible? He stays with Nephilim? How do I know if I can trust him or not? "
"Mr. Grimoire, I can tell you that if you can't trust me, then there is no one in the world you can trust! "
"What do you mean by that?! "
"Daddy, what are you doing? Ah, hello Mr. William" Suddenly she saw chaos, then she ran to Grimoire's side in fear and sat on his lap.
"Daddy, who is he" she hugged Grimoire, "I'm scared, help"
"It's okay Nephy, he's chaos" Grimoire said as he stroked Nephilim's hair and comforted his daughter, "Don't be afraid"
"Wuu" Nephilim didn't dare to look chaos in the eye, she turned her head away and leaned on Grimoire's shoulder and hugged him tightly with both hands, "Wuu, daddy"

After the conversation was over, chaos walked over to Nephilim's side.
"Nephilim~" he scholar Grimoire stroked her hair, "I'm really sorry to hear about your mother. "
Nephilim slowly turned her head and said, "Go away and don't touch me! Do not need you to care! "

A new slap, I tried to put a twist on the relationship between the two of them (chaos × Nephy), I do not know if it is possible.

Yes, Grimoire, Mizrashi, and Jr.'s father all bear a strong resemblance, but probably except for Jr.'s father because he's a big bad guy.
But Grimoire is definitely one of the most tragic characters. I've been thinking even if he gets a reborn Nephy as he wanted he would really be happy?
But what broke my heart the most was Nephilim's final words to his father :sorry
It's really hard to imagine how a girl feels when she says these words to the father who once killed her, but. This really shows that they still love each other deeply

That's a really good point! They all have some things in common, and it's interesting to see how the parallels and differences are explored between similar characters. I often think about what Nephilim says to the main party in XSI:

Nephilim said:
The future you just saw is but one of an infinite set of potential phenomena. But that does not mean that the future is already set. Even the smallest of waves can spread throughout the whole. Phenomena change with every moment, just like a drifting wave.

in the context of Joachim Mizrahi's conversation with Shion in XSIII:

Joachim: Don't you think waves resemble the relationships between people? They ebb and flow, as if feeling the distance between them, and repeat that process eternally.

Shion: ...

Joachim: Young lady, do you love your father?

Shion: What?

Joachim: Parents and children, too, could be said to be like waves.

I think Xenosaga says a lot about the ways that a seemingly small action, like the relationship between a parent and their child, can change the course of the universe. In Jr.'s case, his relationship with his father was definitely really bad, but his and Gaignun's paths were changed through the kindness of people like Helmer and Sakura, so they didn't suffer the same fate as the other URTVs.

I think that was one of the most heartbreaking moments in A Missing Year, along with the flashback image of them being happy together in the past. It also reminded me a little of MOMO getting to meet Joachim in XSIII. It seems like MOMO and Nephilim both still care for their fathers even though their feelings are complicated.

On another note, my friend sent me some fountain pen ink recently, and I noticed a familiar name:
Photo of a box of fountain pen ink cartridges labeled 'Namiki'
