Patriarch battle.

It's been a while, but I can't go anywhere else. I am struggling with the Patriarch battle in Xenosaga 2. His first form is easy, but when he gets under ~15000 HP in his second, he fires his omega cannon, and if that doesn't one shot me, it makes my health so low that I can't get it back up since he takes turns so quickly at that point. Is there a certain strategy I can use to make my life easier against him? I'm about level 35, have Aura resist and beam resist on my party members and don't have too many other skills.

I have since beat him, and will share my strategy that I used at level 35. Phase 1 you play however you want. Phase 2 get him down to just above 16200 in whatever way you want. Then stock to full, cast Aura Sword on everyone and cast attacker on everyone. Combo him with the entire stock. If that doesn't work, just whittle his health down with basic attacks and single stock combos with the boost you racked up. This thread can be closed now.
