The voice work in this series is extremely inconsistent, but it's hard not to love it! What are your favorite voice roles in the series?

Its hard for me not to gush over how hot amazing Richard Epcar is as Ziggy.
I couldn't imagine anyone except Michael McConnohie yelling UZUKI, Margulis definitely has one of the most iconic voices in the series.
And this is all without mentioning Crispin Freeman as Albedo, that's another character that I could not even possibly imagine being voices by anyone else.
Lia Sargent as Shion in Episode 3 really sold all of her emotional scenes
Catrin Mai-Huw defined the beloved Welsh kitty Nia 😺
Jenna Coleman as Melia was my favorite part of Xenoblade and I'm so glad her Doctor Who fame didn't stop her from returning to voice her in Definitive Edition

And even in the deepest depths of hell where the Xenogears dub resides, I appreciate Cam Clarke's dub of Krelian in the ending

Richard Epcar is my all-time fave and the reason why I watched the English dub of Space Dogs (idk, maybe Kazbek is Ziggy's fursona?). He's also like 99% of why I have a crush on the Admiral from Monster Hunter World. ;P Michael McConnohie is legendary too. I also love Paul St. Peter as Cherenkov--there's something really subtle and moving about his performance, especially towards the end of the Cathedral Ship when he's talking to Shion. I guess that actor is more known for doing big dramatic villains like the Kingdom Hearts guy but he was kinda more understated here and that was powerful and memorable in its own way.

Oh yeah, and D. C. Douglas doin' the creep as Voyager. >:3c

He's soooooo good as Ziggy, plays the no-nonsense guy so well at the beginning of his arc and you can hear how much his emotion comes out when he's worrying for MOMO or screaming VOYAGER!!!! Definitely one of the most subtle performances but he really sells it. It also helps that cyborg David Bowie is hot and his voice is highkey sexy.

But now I'm so used to Richard Epcar playing a big burly man like Ziggy or his iconic "SUCH DEVASTATION" as Gaius in ff14, imagining him voicing a dog in a Russian kid's cartoon is making me irl giggle after having a couple drinks 😂

And Paul St Peter absolutely nailed Cherenkov. His performance in his final scene on the beach was so moving it honestly felt like he was there acting him on the beach.

I am obsessed with David Menkin's performance as Malos, he's absolutely amazing.
Brianne Siddall absolutely nailed Jr, I can't imagine anyone else voicing him, the anime feels off now that her voicing is imprinted in my mind.

I think we can all agree Crispin Freeman is an amazing Albedo. I love the fact that he also voiced Gaignun despite both of them having opposite personalities, yet nailed both of them.

Also Steve Blum as Sellers, he's just perfect.

And most of the Xenoblade Chronicles voice acting is great, I especially like Shulk, Melia and Alvis voices.
Caitlin Glass makes a great Elma too.

There are so many good choices but Keith Szarabajka as Yuriev is perfection. Even in Episode 2 which was a serious step down in so many areas, his "I'm not going to die... Not now, not ever" was unforgettable. And of course he got to shine in EP3 and was the best part of that game in so many ways.

Also I miss Shery Lynn as MOMO. I'm replaying EP1 and she was wonderful.

I re-watched some of Yuriev's scenes recently and Keith Szarabajka definitely nails that, like ... banality of evil energy that Yuriev has. He's terrifying in a way that's not over-the-top dramatic and I think that's part of what makes him so effective as a villain.

I always kinda liked Sherry Lynn as MOMO for sentimental reasons, because I recognized her from one of the first anime dubs I had ever seen (Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals), which I used to quote constantly when I was younger, so it became like a household meme/inside joke for a while. It was kind of a fun coincidence later on to hear her doing another voice in another thing that I eventually became even more obsessed with.
