With Nintendo sunsetting the Wii U's online play capabilities on April 8th, I figured I wanted to spin up a thread to ask folks if they had any stories about their player characters.
I was a huge single player jrpg person for the longest time, so playing a mecha game where you could customize your character was very new to me, and I got attached very quickly.
I'll go first!
I named my character Jerkface on a whim because I had no idea what to name him. At work, my player callsign is Meanface, so it just seemed to fit together. Over time, as I played Xenoblade X, I began to get a better feeling for what he was like personality-wise.
His real name is Jacob Cruz, and he was an accountant before he left earth. His human body was a lot smaller and sicklier than his mimeosome ended up being, and he experienced a bit of transhumanist euphoria at being able to do things like be powerful in a physical fight. I ended up playing him as a tank class, with a lot of heavy arms and armor.
How about yall?
