Xenoblade 3 announced

Some things we know, and some speculation

The central conflict seems to center around the races of XC1 forming the country of Keves (Mechanically focused), and the XC2 races formed Angus (Ether Focused). 3 party members from each side, we have a Homs, a Machina, a Part-High Entia, a Gormotti Flesh Eater, a Full Blade, and another human character of unclear origin. There's an etching in the 3 in the logo, and the etching is on all the members of Keves: Noah's right hand, Eunie's chest, and Lanz's chin. There's also a half-circle on the weapons and tech of each side, and they're complementary, forming two halves. Mechanically, we're looking at the return of item orbs, 4 character parties, no Gacha, and an expansion of traversal. We know of the boat, and its implied there's a diving mechanic in any place in the water? should be interesting

If I were to make guesses about themes, the main characters are off-seers of the dead, and we could see a game about life and death, and its inevitability. There's potential for previous characters to return (those that can live hundreds of years) and the death and life theme could be contrasted by those in faux immortality. War is an easy one, and obviously we'll see more Takahashi philosophy as every game does. What's notable about this game is that there's quite a good amount of politics right out of the gate, something we haven't seen in any of the mainline Blade games. Should be neat.

There's a lot of other things, but this is what I've been able to put together

In other news, I'm very excited

Reactions: Mekhane
I wonder if the fog beasts or King will return since it didn't seem like the worlds conjoined at the end of 2 or in FC. It looks like there's a titan near the Mechonis sword and I feel like if that was there in FC, it would be mentioned or referenced at the least.

The introduction with two factions in permanent war reminds me of Xenogears. Also, apparently, 'Keves' and 'Agnus' can both be translated as 'Lamb' (https://www.ifcj.org/learn/holy-land-moments/hebrew-words/keves, http://latindictionary.wikidot.com/noun:agnus). May be just a reference or they may be reusing/reimagining some story elements.

Some environments and the character design reminds me of Xeno X (without its flaws).
I was going to say this as well. That Taion character reminds me of Citan in terms of design, and the protagonist looks a bit like Fei. I think that this game is a loose remake of Xenogears. I also want to point out that Keves, like Kislev, is the technologically advanced nation.

One thing people noticed in the character art are the tattos Noah, Lanz, Eunie, and even Mio (if you look at her neck on the left) have. It somewhat resembles the pendant from Xenogears and Xenosaga. I have a feeling that this is the Xenoblade game where we might be back to retelling Xenogears.

Edit: I know this is immediate but I didn't notice LEGOdawg already pointed out the tattos on the XBC1 side. My bad.

I'm super excited for this, especially after having recently enjoyed the second one so much. I can't believe it will be out so soon!

The character designs and world seem really interesting as always. Looking forward to seeing if it ties in with the other two directly or is mostly callbacks. I'm fine with either. I've been trying to avoid too many spoilers myself.

Will you guys receive the cards sooner?(I mean received within a few days after July 29th)

I received my standard cassette(Chinese edition) today and it was definitely the most exciting day of the month for me anyway. Although it was only 3 years between when I played xenoblade2 and received xenoblade3, these three years can be said to have completely changed my life!
